| Sponsored Youth |
 |
|
Kiwanians strongly feels that our youth are our future. All of our efforts go to providing activities, support, and encouragement for the children of our community. One of our main goals is to introduce children of all ages to community service. Through community service, the children learn to take pride in, to respect, and to assist their city in a positive way.
In Kiwanis, sponsored youth clubs are divided into: K-Kids (elementary age, K-4) Builder's Clubs (5-8) KEY Club (9-12) Circle K (college students)
Each club has a Kiwanis Advisor and a Faculty Advisor to guide them in their decisions on projects, fundraising, and social activities. All sponsored youth clubs are student run.

Circle K is the college age sponsored youth organization of Kiwanis. In New England there are approximately 22 colleges that have active clubs. Stonehill's Circle K has 24 members. The members perform community service hours September through May while at school. Many members also continue their community service activities while at home on semester breaks.
The Stonehill club has very close ties with the Brockton Public Schools. The members teach every second grade student in all 15 elementary school the importance of buckling their safety belts through a special program called BELTS (Because Everyone Likes To be Safe) which is geared to this age group.
