The Kiwanis Club of Brockton
|
The Kiwanis Club of Brockton is active, well established in the city, and well known for our educational, safety, and health related activities. The Kiwanis Club of Brockton, established in 1923, has been serving the young people of Brockton for more than 83 years. As much as we are able, where ever and whenever we are asked to provide service, the Kiwanis Club of Brockton has been there.
Kiwanis is a community service organization helping to improve the quality of life for everyone in our community, New England, and the world.
Kiwanis Is Where A Need Is Served
|
|
Kiwanis International is a worldwide organization of men, women, and youth dedicated to community service and respond to the needs of their community, Founded in 1915, the organization has more than 13,000 clubs in more than 70 counties with more than 600,000 members. Kiwanis International is looking to the future with a new, well-difined focus on local community service and members. Kiwanis is not looking back to what has been done in the past; it is looking forward to what can be done now. We believe that Kiwanis has a purpose - to serve the needs of the children, and more importantly shifting that focus to the local level - to serve the needs of the children in our own communities. This new focus is based in a new defining statement:
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

New England District of Kiwanis
|
The New England District of Kiwanis is made up of the six New England States: Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, and the country of Bermuda.
The Kiwanians of Bermuda chose to belong the the New England District as they wanted a different experience with their membership in Kiwanis International.
The District has two conferences each year - one in November and one in March. The annual District convention is in August. Locations for each of these gatherings are scheduled in different states so that all Kiwanians can take part and travel is not too extensive. Each May, Kiwanians from New England travel to Bermuda to enjoy their hospitality.
